"Beautiful accommodation in a great location. The place is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and had everything you could have needed and more. Freshly baked bread and a bottle of fizz to welcome us. The hosts were extremely helpful and welcomed us as if we were old friends with loads of useful information about the town and the local area. Loved the Peak District and the town of Wirksworth- the locals are so friendly. Highly recommended."

"A beautiful space to relax in, decorated and equipped to the highest standards. We felt very welcome and really appreciated the detailed thought that had gone into our comfort, from the coffee in the kitchen, the perfumes of the hand washes to the fast internet, Netflix and Spotify access provided. The history in the building, Wirksworth’s gorgeous streets and houses, and the astonishing beauty of Derbyshire drew us here but the luxury offered during our stay will certainly take us back again."

Slaley Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, it is very comfortable and spacious. It is beautifully decorated, has everything you could need for a relaxing stay. It is in the centre of Wirksworth, shops, pubs and restaurants only minutes away. The owners are very helpful and informative, extremely welcoming . We would definitely return and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area. We have stayed in many holiday properties over the years and this is definitely one of the best.

"We were not disappointed , everything you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel , but in the comfort of a home . Every detail had been thought of from the powerful shower , to the luxurious stand-alone bath in the bathroom . The most comfortable bed , with crisp white sheets and duvet . The location was central to visit so many of the highlights of the Peak District , whether it was walking or historic visits . We intended to relax and this we did , with the help of the hosts. Five Stars"

Absolutely fabulous place to stay - the decoration and atmosphere in the cottage/flat is gorgeous and we couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome and comfortable. One of the first places I've ever stayed which, when I got home, made me feel my home wasn't as nice! Wirksworth itself is quirky and trendy, and makes a great base for exploring the peaks, with walks straight from the front door and access to lots of heritage and interesting places to see!

Ideally situated in the centre of Wirksworth with ready access to shops, restaurants and bars, this delightfully decorated and equipped one-bedroomed apartment is an oasis of tranquility. On the edge of the Peak District, Wirksworth is served by easy transport links to places such as Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock and Cromford with hundreds of miles of walking routes available.

This is a fabulous place to stay, just a short walk from the centre of Wirksworth. Beautifully decorated and furnished with plenty of style. You will want for nothing, the owners have thought of everything, one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Perfectly situated for a visit to the peaks. Our longest trip was 12 miles and we went to Matlock Bath, Bakewell, the Tramway museum, Dovedale and Ilam. We highly recommend a stay at this property.

Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, and just a lovely place to be based to explore the Peak District. Hosts were excellent and provided a wealth of information about the local area; pubs, restaurants, walks, etc. Would book again without hesitation.
